Why should you become a member of the Muskoka Tri-Island Residential Group Inc?

Since its inception 30 years ago , the Muskoka Tri-Island Residential Group Inc or Tri-Island Group has given the islanders a voice in Bracebridge municipal affairs which is heard by Bracebridge Council.

We initiated the creation of the 253 acre nature reserve in the centre of Eilean Gowan, now owned by the Muskoka Heritage Trust and looked after by the Tri-Island Group under a stewardship agreement.  The Tri-Island and Browning Island Associations pressured the Bracebridge Town Council to make the Bracebridge Fire-fighting Boat on Lake Muskoka a reality.

We provide our Tri-Island membership lists to the 911 Coordinating Ambulance Service, Bracebridge Fire Department and the Police.

Through the Tri-Island Group, cottagers are able to respond quickly to environmental, economic and social issues that affect our cottage experience and our island property values.

All members will receive electronic copies of the Tri-Island membership list which has contact names and numbers.

TIRG is a member of FOCA and that qualifies TIRG members for a 15% discount on cottage insurance premiums.

Dues are payable annually on a calendar year basis.
